The Canary Island paradise of turquoise waters

HIGHLIGHTS

Peñitas Arch

Hidden within a granite massif, the Arco de las Peñitas is a whimsical formation sculpted by erosion. A landscape that seems otherworldly, right in the heart of Betancuria.

POINT OF INTEREST

Peñitas Arch
The Arco de las Peñitas is a geological formation of syenite (similar to granite) that forms a perfect natural bridge. It is located in one of the oldest massifs in the Canary Islands. The contrast between the light rock and the blue sky, along with the views of the ravine and the small hermitage of La Peña (hidden at the bottom of the valley), creates an atmosphere of pure adventure. It is a place where erosion has worked for millions of years to create a unique natural sculpture.
